This is the run we plan most carefully, because the final third of it is the M25.

- M40 south to junction 16 of the M25, then clockwise towards Watford and South Mimms. Approximately eighty miles yard to gate, and around an hour and a half in normal traffic.
- Coverage
- Watford, Leavesden, Borehamwood and Elstree are the closest and the most frequently asked for. St Albans and Hemel Hempstead are comparable. Stevenage and the east of the county are closer to two hours.
- Call times
- We agree an arrival window when the booking is made rather than on the morning. If a call time makes the journey unrealistic we will say so at the point of enquiry.

Hertfordshire is continuous studio ground, and studio ground runs on procedure.
Expect gate times, passes arranged in advance, a designated unit base position and a fire lane that stays clear. Vehicle dimensions are usually requested before arrival and we supply them with the quote. The county also carries location work in the Chilterns and along the Lea valley, where the constraint is access width and ground rather than paperwork. The trailer carries its own water tanks and runs from a 13A, 16A or 32A supply, or from a generator, so it needs neither a plumbed connection nor a dedicated hook-up point on the lot.

What power supply do you need on a Hertfordshire lot?
A 13A socket is sufficient. We can also take 16A or 32A where a lot provides it, or run from a generator. The trailer carries its own water, so no plumbed supply or standpipe is required.
