craft services for film in buckinghamshire
Buckinghamshire is a single-motorway run from our base. The north of the county is around half an hour away and the southern stage belt around an hour and a quarter, with no M25 in the route.
Our owner has worked craft on productions including Avengers, Spider-Man and Star Wars — and to be straight with you, that was somebody else's craft service rather than WoldCoffee's. The company is new; the experience behind it is not.
Getting there
travel and access
One road covers most of the journey, which makes the county more accessible than the distance suggests.
- Route
- A44 from Chipping Norton to the A40, then the M40 south. The southern Buckinghamshire stage belt is built along that motorway.
- Coverage
- Buckingham is around thirty-five minutes and Milton Keynes around fifty. Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Marlow are around an hour. Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Denham and Iver are around an hour and a quarter.
- Call times
- Southern Buckinghamshire is a day return rather than an away job, and there is no M25 in the route. Send us the call time and we will confirm an arrival time at the gate.
The county
working in buckinghamshire
The county divides into two working environments, and they place different demands on a craft vehicle.
The south of the county is lot territory. Access runs on gate times, passes issued in advance and a marshalled unit base, and the fire lane has to stay clear — we would rather supply vehicle dimensions and take a gate contact at the point of booking than at the barrier. Away from the lots the county is Chiltern country: beech woodland, sunken lanes, narrow village approaches and low branches, all of which need flagging in advance for a towed trailer. The trailer carries its own water and runs from a 13A supply or a generator, so neither environment needs a plumbed connection.

Questions
buckinghamshire, answered
How early can you be on a Buckinghamshire location?
The county is a day return for us, so early calls are workable. We confirm a specific arrival time once we have the call time, the unit base location and the access route.
Can you work on a lot rather than on location?
Yes. We need vehicle dimensions, gate times and a pass arranged in advance, and we work to the unit base position and fire lane you set. Send the requirements with the booking and we will meet them.

- HertfordshireThe country's densest studio county, roughly ninety minutes away on the M40 and the M25.
- BerkshireThe A34 and the M4, with no M25 in the route. The most predictable of the studio runs.
- SurreyThe western end of the M25. Thames-side stage belt to the north, Surrey Hills location work to the south.
- LondonStraight in on the M40. Access, permits and emissions zones are the planning, not the drive.
