Horse trials, hunter trials, point-to-points, showing classes, riding club days and county shows. It is a long day and an early one: the lorries are in before it is properly light and somebody is still walking a course at six. We trade the whole of it from the trailer, so there is decent coffee at the far end of the day as well as the near end.
All we need is power, and not much of it — a standard 13A socket is enough, or 16A, 32A or a generator. We carry our own water.

how the day tends to run
- There before the lorries
- Pitched, levelled and pouring by the time the boxes start rolling in. The first coffee of an equestrian day is the one that matters most, and it is usually wanted before anything else on the ground is open.
- Beside the ring or the lorry park
- Tell us which. Ringside catches spectators and the ones waiting to go in; the lorry park catches grooms, riders and everybody sitting on a ramp between phases. They are different days for us, so it is worth deciding early.
- Whatever the weather does
- Espresso and hot chocolate for a wet March hunter trial, smoothies and iced drinks for a July show. The hatch does not close between classes, so there is no wrong time to come over.
- Paperwork for the organiser
- Insurance certificates, food hygiene registration and equipment test certificates sent over for your files, and allergen information on everything we serve.
If yours is a country show or a fête rather than a fixture, that is the same trailer and the same full day, on a page of its own: festivals, fairs and markets.

what we need on site
Power is the one that matters to us, and it is a smaller ask than it used to be. The rest of this list is just so the trailer can get in and stand somewhere level.
- Somewhere to plug in within reach of the pitch — a standard 13A socket is enough, 16A or 32A if you have it, or a generator.
- A pitch on firm, level ground, clear of your guest route.
- Vehicle access to the pitch for the trailer and the towing vehicle.
- An agreed arrival window, confirmed with the venue rather than assumed.
- Somewhere to dispose of waste water if the venue has it — we take it away otherwise.

what it costs
Price depends on the date, the location, the hours and how many people we are looking after. Send us those and we will put together a price for the booking as a whole.
Everything that comes with a booking — the trailer, the barista, the menu and the clear-down — is listed in full on events and private hire.

Our event is in a field. Can you still come?
Usually, yes. We need power, but a standard 13A socket is enough and we can run from a generator, so a field with no hook-up is no longer a no. We carry our own water, so there is no need for a tap either. Tell us what the site actually has and we will give you a straight answer.
Can you get the trailer across grass?
Usually, but tell us the ground and the towing route when you enquire rather than on the day. We would rather know in advance that the last hundred yards is a wet slope than find out with a trailer on it.
How early can you start serving?
Early. Tell us the time the lorry park opens and we will be pouring before it, which for most fixtures means setting up in the dark. Say so in your enquiry — an early start is a normal part of this kind of booking rather than a special request.
Do you do the whole day, or a slot?
The whole day. We are set up before the first box arrives and still serving while the last ones load, because the quiet stretch in the middle of an equestrian day is exactly when somebody wants a coffee and a sit down.
Can you take a pitch fee or trade on commission?
Ask. Send the fixture, the date, the expected entries and the terms you normally offer traders, and we will come back with something that works or tell you it does not.
What paperwork can you send us?
Our public and products liability and employers' liability certificates, our council food hygiene registration and our equipment test certificates, all on request. The FHRS inspection is pending and the rating will be published as soon as it's issued.
